In 2015, the United Nations (UN) declared June 21st as the International Day of Yoga in an attempt to help spread the teaching of peace and unity that are at the forefront of Yoga. We are so happy to announce that this year we will be hosting East Hawaii's 1st \ year of International Day of Yoga joining the hundreds of nations around the world celebrating this year!
Events will take place on Saturday, June 25th from 10am-4pm at Mo'oheau Park and Bandstand in downtown Hilo, HI (just across the street from the Hilo Farmer's Market). Opening Ceremony will be at 10am and classes, giveaways, and info booths will be happening all day! Please feel free to bring some fruit or veggies to contribute to our compassionate potluck!
Our lineup of events will be up shortly, and you will be able to view it below with the official flier as well as on our Facebook Event Page.

"The draft resolution establishing the International Day of Yoga was proposed by India and endorsed by a record 175 member states. The proposal was first introduced by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in his address during the opening of the 69th session of the General Assembly, in which he said: “Yoga is an invaluable gift from our ancient tradition. Yoga embodies unity of mind and body, thought and action ... a holistic approach [that] is valuable to our health and our well-being. Yoga is not just about exercise; it is a way to discover the sense of oneness with yourself, the world and the nature.”
Please help us spread the word by inviting friends through this Facebook Event Page!
